We only collect personal data that you give us directly, through one of two forms on this site:
Contact form (Contact.html): your name, email address, and the content of your message.
Subscription request form (Subscribe.html): your name, work email, organisation, role, and the plan and billing preference you select.
Getting a free account (SignUp.html): this page collects no personal data — it simply links you through to register directly on the relevant Social Value Navigator application (for contracting authorities or for suppliers and bidders), which is operated separately from this website and has its own privacy handling for the account you create there.
We do not use tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or third-party advertising cookies on this website at the time of writing. See our Cookie Policy for details.
We use the information you submit to: respond to your enquiry; process subscription requests and take payment via our payment provider, Stripe; and send you transactional emails confirming what you've asked for (for example, payment instructions or an access link).
Our legal basis for this processing is: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering one (handling a subscription request); and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the business.
We share personal data with a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf, strictly to deliver the service you've asked for:
Resend — sends the transactional emails this site generates (enquiry confirmations, payment instructions, access links).
Stripe — processes subscription payments. Card details are entered directly on Stripe's own payment page and never reach our servers.
Netlify — hosts this website and the serverless functions that process form submissions.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.
Some of the providers listed above may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK's international data transfer framework or standard contractual clauses, to ensure your data stays protected.
We keep personal data submitted through these forms for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with your enquiry or provide the service you've requested, and after that for a limited period to meet our legal, accounting, or tax obligations — typically no longer than [X years] from your last contact with us, unless we're required to keep it longer by law.
